Employer Responsibilities

Hire an employee at minimum wage or the wage paid to all new employees, whichever is higher, with the same benefits as similar company employees

Provide the employee with a detailed job description which will include:

  • break times

  • orientation to the job

  • expected hours of work

  • probation period

Participate in the interview process by interviewing the applicant

bullet

Designate a person who will work with the employee and employment consultant during the term of the employees employment, offering support and direction

bullet

Notify the Employment Consultant if the employee is experiencing difficulty on the job and the employer feels support is required

bullet

Notify the Employment Consultant if the employee is terminated for any reason
